These “boat” style shoes are not waterproof though the leather seems to have a water-repellent coating. Why the boat shoes are not waterproof: After about three wearings, the plastic bottoms start to get slightly loose from the leather part in the front. Therefore, if you walk around water or rain, water comes in the front part of the shoe so that the leather footbed under the ball of the foot will be wet. When this occurs, it takes several hours to dry. I have tried the Sperry Authentic Moccasins in both classic white bottom as well as Sahara color and have had the same issue.

I like these shoes. The mesh is actually more gray then what the pictures shows. I ended up liking them that way than if the mesh was white or lighter. They did make my feet feel hot though, so I wear thinner socks. Very Comfortable and look awesome. The size was exactly what I wear, I did try a similar pair on at the mall first just to make sure.

Classic design that hasn’t changed in years and years and years. Converse chuck taylors are known to run one size small. (Order one size bigger than other shoe brands)

We bought these for my daughter to start school. They are classic, cool and don’t cost a fortune. The conversion from men’s to women’s sizes was accurate. They hold up much better than knock-offs of the same style. Also Amazon makes things so easy, my mother wanted to get my daughter something to start school & didn’t have time to shop. I went to my daughter’s wish list & because I have shopped Amazon for my mother before I had all her information. I was done in 3 minutes.
